PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save on drying energy by reducing the amount of a joined standard size veneer which is necessary to be dried twice when the undried joined standard size veneer having a prescribed length is manufactured from a plurality of undried veneers. SOLUTION: The molded joined end edges of a plurality of the undried veneers a4, a5, a6', a7, and a8 are made close in contact with each other to keep the neighborhood of the contacted joined end edges joined by using a joining tape 1. Every time when the accumulated length of the undried veneers a4, a5, a6', a7, and a8 with the joined end edges contacted reaches a desired standard size length L, standard size cutting application is carried out in parallel. When the undried joined standard size veneer having the desired standard length L is manufactured, any undried veneer, for example, when the undried veneer a6' is estimated to include a part c difficult to be dried which exceeds a prescribed limit in at least one part, is standard size-cut as usual with only the undried veneer a6' unjoined, and an undried standard size veneer group C of the desired length are manufactured in place.
