PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which can prevent light diffraction due to a density difference and a thickness difference of a filter, can prevent deterioration of resolution upon photographing still images, can secure a dynamic range of an exposure control for still image photographing and motion image photographing, and can secure continuity of brightness by controlling a brightness shock on a screen. SOLUTION: This imaging device has an image pickup device which converts light injected from a lens into an electric signal, an aperture mechanism which changes an amount of the light injected to the image pickup device, and an ND filter 161 which adjusts the amount of the light which passes through an opening and is injected to the image pickup device by covering the opening of the aperture mechanism freely. The ND filter 161 has a transparent portion 161a which opens and closes the opening of the aperture mechanism in the alternative, and a density gradation portion 161b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
