PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support a thin plate accurately, surly and stably. SOLUTION: The thin plate supporting container includes a container main body for accommodating a plurality of thin plates therein, a lid member for covering the container, slit plates for supporting the accommodated thin plates from both sides thereof, wherein the slit plates are provided respectively on facing sidewalls in the container. A thin plate press member are provided on the back plane of the lid member for supporting by pressing the upper portion of thin plates accommodated in the container when the lid member is fixed to the container. Engaging slits are formed on the press member for supporting by engaging the thin plates one by one. The engaging slits are formed in acute angle for surrounding the periphery of the thin plates.
