A card having a password input key is provided to set a password to a card and input the password by using only four input keys to prevent the card from being lost, damaged and forgery. A card having a password input key includes an input key unit(16), a smart card(14a), a main chip controller(10), a switch(11), an internal thin-film cell(12) and a display window(13). The input key unit is formed on the side or the surface of the card and includes keys used to power on/off the card, select various functions and up/down numbers. The smart card is connected to a smart card terminal. The main chip controller stores a password inputted through the input key unit and outputs a control signal for activating the smart card when the stored password corresponds to a password inputted through the input key unit. The switch connects the main chip controller to the smart card to activate the smart card. The internal thin-film cell provides power for driving the main chip controller. The display window displays the state of the card or the state of the input key unit.
