摘要 An electro-optical apparatus and an electronic device comprising the same are provided to improve the response speed of liquid crystal even without performing overdrive processing. An electro-optical apparatus comprises a plurality of pixels formed correspondingly to crossing of gate lines and the data lines, and an electro-optical material in which a response speed for meddle-gray scale display is lower than a response speed for low-gray scale display and a response speed for high-gray scale display. Each of the pixels is constituted of at least two adjacent sub-pixels(20,30) as one group. Each of the sub-pixels includes a pixel electrode, a common electrode facing the pixel electrode, and a switching element for electrically connecting the pixel electrode and a corresponding one of the data lines according to a selection voltage supplied from a corresponding one of the gate lines. Switching elements of the sub-pixels are connected to different gate lines.
