<p>A trendy information notifying system and a trendy information notifying method are provided, the system and method being capable of providing a trend for a state in a group composed of selected members to a person (entity) who enjoys service and promoting active communication. When a medium state monitoring unit detects a change in state of a medium, a state issuing unit produces presence information and outputs the produced information to a presence service unit. A presence information managing unit receives and stores presence information, and a presence list managing unit manages a presence list including presence information. In the case where a presence list has been updated, a judging unit judges whether or not the presence information is trendy information based on a judgment rule stored in a rule holding unit. A notifying unit outputs information indicating trendy information to a receiver's terminal in the case where the judging unit has made an affirmative judgment.</p> |
