A steam vent valve for a cooking pan is provided to ensure reduction in cooking time and safe keeping of cooked foods for a long time by controlling the discharge of steam through lifting and lowering of a valve unit by temperature and pressure of the steam within the cooking pan. A steam vent valve for a cooking pan comprises a housing(10), a valve unit(20), a cap(30), a holder(40), and a lock nut(50). The housing, whose inside is shaped as a vertically penetrating cylinder, comprises an upper body(11) and a lower connection part(12) of which each has different diameter. The valve unit, which is inserted within the body, comprises a bimetal(22) axially connected to a first shaft(21) while the outer peripheral end of the bimetal makes contact to a stepped side(113) of a bottom side(112) within the housing, a valve(23) made of a silicon material and making contact to the bottom side of the body within the housing, a steel plate(24) made of a stainless material, a magnet(25), a spring(26), and a second shaft(27) connected to an upper end of the first shaft, and moves up and down by magnetic force of the magnet and transformation of the bimetal according to the temperature and pressure of steam induced via the connection part. The cap is screwed along an inner periphery of the upper end of the housing for a predetermined height for covering the upper part of the housing. The holder, capable of sliding and lifting while surrounding an outer side of the body, is bolted to an upper end of the second shaft that penetrates the upper side of the cap, and opens and closes a plurality of steam outlets(111) on a lower periphery of the body with its lower periphery. The lock nut is screwed to the outer periphery of the housing connection part. |
