A housing assembly and a shield connector having the same are provided to connect a shield connector to a shield cable easily without processing the shield cable or the shield connector, reduce work time for connecting the shield connector, and electrically connect a shield layer of the shield cable to a shield electrode through a fixing ring and a connection ring, thereby reducing volume of the shield type connector. In a housing assembly adopted to a shield connector for receiving a connection terminal combined in a center line(11) of a shield cable and protecting the center line and the connection terminal from noise generated in the outside, the housing assembly comprises an inner housing and an external housing(80). The inner housing receives the center line and the connection terminal combined in the center line within it, and fixes a part of the connection terminal. The external housing receives at least the inner housing and a part of the shield cable, and is electrically connected with a shield layer(13) of the shield cable.
