PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens cap which hardly falls from the lens part of a telescope. SOLUTION: A lens protection cover 3 constituting the lens cap 1 has a protection part 31 and a fitting part 32. The protection part covers the eyepiece part of a right lens barrel, and the fitting part has a fitting part main body 32a and a tab part 32b that is a pressing member. The tab part 32b is housed in a notch 32c, and its one end is coupled with the fitting part main body, and the tab part can be rocked with its one end as center. Two projections 32d are formed on the inner peripheral surface of the fitting part main body. A projection 32e is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the tab part, and the projection parts are engaged in an annular groove formed on the outer peripheral surface of the eyepiece. By engaging or disengaging the projection parts in accordance with the rocking operation of an operation part, the lens cap is attached/detached. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
