PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braid machine which is used for braiding wires on the outer periphery of a core material, can constantly adjust wire tensions changed by the travel position of a carrier in the braid machine, and can thereby braid the wires in a uniform tension. SOLUTION: This braid machine is characterized in that a braking plate 38 is disposed above a bracket 31 connected to the upper end of a tension rod; a bobbin shaft 22 holding a bobbin 21 is upward extended from the bracket to turnably hold the braking plate; a tension spring 37 whose upper and lower ends are fixed to the bracket and the braking plate is disposed around the bobbin shaft in a state having a resilient force; and a connection pulley 45 for hooking a wire delivered from a movable pulley 35, a plurality of pulleys 46, 46, etc., for hooking the wire from the connection pulley, and a delivery pulley 48 for hooking the wire from the pulleys in the delivery direction are provided at the braking plate.
