The battery (1) has a housing (3), and a set of rectangular cell bond modules (2) electrically interconnected together. The cell bond modules with spring damping units (8a, 8b) are supported in the housing. The spring damping units are arranged in an intermediate space between an outer area of a lower edge of the cell bond modules and the housing. A common spring damping unit extends transverse to a direction of a longitudinal side of the cell bond modules along the cell bond modules. The spring damping units are made of elastomer material.
