<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating liquid for obtaining an antifog mirror, the liquid that has excellent water retention property, extremely excellent antifog property even when used for a bathroom mirror in an environment of high relative humidity such as in a bathroom, and excellent contamination resistance against shampoos, conditioners or soap water used in a bathroom or the like, and that does not require UV rays. <P>SOLUTION: The coating liquid is used to render a mirror into an antifog mirror for a bathroom by forming a metal oxide film having hydrophilicity on the mirror, and is characterized in that: the coating liquid is prepared by uniformly mixing oxide fine particles having an average particle diameter of 30 to 60 nm, a metal oxide source material for forming a matrix, and a solvent; the content of the oxide fine particles is 60 to 80 wt.%; the content of silica and zirconia for formation of the matrix is 20 to 40 wt.%; and the oxide fine particles comprise colloidal silica and/or colloidal alumina. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
