PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently clean the inside of even such a porous body as to have a small pore diameter, high density and a large volume. SOLUTION: This cleaning method comprises the steps of: arranging the porous body 110 in an enclosed space; cleaning the inner part of the porous body 110 by passing a pressurized cleaning liquid 124 through the inner part of the porous body 110; then arranging the porous body 110 in the above enclosed space or another enclosed space; and supplying pressurized pure water to the porous body 110 so that the water can pass through the inner part of the porous body 110.
