SMALL COMPOUND ASSEMBLY INCORPORATING MULTIPLE DEVICES THAT USE LIGHT OF DIFFERENT WAVELENGTHS, AND FORMING METHOD FOR COMPOUND ASSEMBLY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To incorporate devices using light of different wavelengths in a single compound assembly.

SOLUTION: A remote control (RC) receiver device and an ambient light photosensor device (ALPS) are mounted on a single mounting device (for example, printed-circuit board) so that they may be part of a single compound assembly. As a result, the amount of space required for an electronic apparatus incorporating both the RC receiver device and ALPS device can be reduced. As the RC receiver device and ALPS device operate at different wavelengths, the compound assembly includes a filtering arrangement that prevents unnecessary wavelengths from entering the photodiode of the RC receiver and the photo sensor of the ALPS device.
