PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestal connecting joint which can minimize the deformation of the whole building. SOLUTION: A lateral frame material 13 as a structural material is connected to each pedestal 11A of a plurality of pillars 11, which are provided side by side, of a structural material 10 of a building. The pedestal connecting joint 20 connects each pedestal 11A to a foundation 14, and a base member 21 is connected with traction to the pedestal 11A of at least one of the plurality of pillars 11. Then a rod pair 22, which is comprised of a combination of at least two rods 22A, 22B, is provided between the foundation 14 and the base member 21. The lower ends of the rods 22A, 22B are connected to the foundation 14, and the upper ends of the rods 22A, 22B are connected to the base member 21. Then the space between the upper ends of the rods 22A, 22B is made smaller than that of the lower ends, and the upper end of at least one rod 22B of the two rods 22A, 22B is connected to one end of the base member 21 with rigidity. Then the base member 21 is connected to the pedestal 11A with traction, and introduction tension is applied between the base member 21 and the pedestal 11A. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
