<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver enabling a user to sequentially select an associated broadcast service by one key operation. <P>SOLUTION: A flash memory 13 of the broadcast receiver makes a plurality of broadcast services correspond to respective channel number allocated to keys of a remote controller and stores the services. When a CPU 11 selects a broadcast service corresponding to a channel number entered by an IR processing section 12 from the broadcast services stored in the flash memory 13 and the entered channel number is the same as the channel number entered at a previous time, the CPU 11 selects a broadcast service different from the broadcast service selected at the previous time. Then a network processing section 15, a terrestrial digital broadcast front end processing section 17, a satellite digital broadcast front end processing section 18, or an analog television processing section 19 receives the broadcast service selected by the CPU 11.
