PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the positional displacement of an item to be packed and to surely in-air pack an item while the item is protected by easily absorbing a shock. SOLUTION: This in-air packing tool comprising a solid face 13 at the center for contacting with an item 50 to be packed, an item holding frame panel 11 with a face having an L-shaped cut 14a and a straight line cut 14b surrounding the face 13 and a waist panel 12 with continuous waist panels 23, 23, 24 and 24 vertically folded through the first folding line 18 on the four-sided periphery of the frame panel 11 is provided with a packing device 10 assembled in a tray shape, a cushioning body 31 comprising a left-side cushioning body 31a and a right-side cushioning body 31b formed so as to be capable of protruding through a second folding line 31c formed on the center line in the width direction and a cushioning material 30 which is vertically folded through the third folding line 35 on both ends of the cushioning body 31 and provided with a position regulating panel 32 superimposed on the inside face of a tray of the assembled packing device 10.
