<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for forming a device, by which a pigment coating which is aligned magnetically on a release layer of a first substrate to be coated, is punched on another substrate or an object, or for example, hot-stamped, and which has an image form useful specially as a security device. <P>SOLUTION: Multiply-stamped/aligned areas can be oriented differently on another substrate or the object in a form of a patchwork or a mosaic. For example, one area of a flake which is oriented north and south, stamped and aligned can be stuck to one region of the object or another substrate and another area of the same flake removed/stamped from the same substrate can be stuck to the same object or substrate so that the stuck flake is oriented east and west. First, these flakes are aligned and cured on the releasable substrate and then, they are stamped as patches having various shapes or sizes and the stamped patches are stuck/fixed to another substrate or the object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
