PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge device reduced in maintenance cost by remarkably increasing the service life. SOLUTION: This hinge device 8 swingably supporting a curtain wall 20 comprises a rail part 13 installed on a support body 10 and a member 21 to be supported fitted to the curtain wall 20 and rolling on the rail part 13 according to the swinging of the curtain wall 20. A pinion assist member 24 is installed on the member 21 to be supported, and a rack assist member 14 is installed on the rail member 13. These members are engaged with each other.
