A method for testing reproducing condition of a media reproducing device for a vehicle, and a computer-readable recording medium with a program for embodying the method are provided to prevent an abnormal reproducing operation by inspecting the reproducing condition by prohibiting non-continuous reproducing operation caused by external shock, disturbance, or a scratch on a surface of a disc-type recording medium. A method for testing reproducing condition of a media reproducing device for a vehicle includes a step of recording data which is read continuously through a servo of the media reproducing device, in a buffer memory(S110); a step of inspecting position of an input pointer for recording the present data in the buffer memory and position of a reproducing pointer for reading reproduction data from the buffer memory, during a reproducing operation(S120); a step of stopping the reproducing operation when the position of the reproducing pointer is ahead of the position of the input pointer(S130); a step of performing a data reading operation repeatedly from a disc-type recording medium through the servo after moving the position of the reproducing pointer from the position of the disc-type recording medium corresponding to the input pointer, as much as a pre-set value(S140); a step of repeating the prior steps until the position of the input pointer is ahead of the position of the reproducing pointer(S150); and a step of restarting the stopped reproducing operation(S160).
