<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide catheter and a stent delivery system, using generally spread existing stents, and retracting any stent when two or more stents are continuously disposed. <P>SOLUTION: This stent delivery system S1 includes: a guide catheter inserted inside a stent 1 and inserted into the interior of the living body with the stent 1 by a guide wire 20 inserted inside the guide catheter; a tubular pusher catheter inserted into the interior of the living body with the guide catheter in a state where the guide catheter is inserted inside the pusher catheter, and which pushes the stent 1 along the guide catheter 10; and an engaging portion 15 disposed on a head section of the guide catheter 10 protruding from the stent 1, which engages with the stent 1 in a state where the guide wire 20 is inserted into the head section, and which releases the stent in a state where the guide wire 20 is retracted away from the head section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
