PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pushing and rotating operation unit with superior quality to be used in an input operation part of various electronic devices, in which the operation state of the electronic device will not change, even if a set knob is turned and the design, shown on the set knob, can be corrected to an upright standing position. SOLUTION: While the power source for the electronic device is turned on and if the change from an off-status to an on-status of a push momentary switch is detected and a set knob 54 is rotated in an unchanged state and a pulse signal of an incremental encoder is detected, operation flow is regarded as not changing the sound volume of the device and the on-state of the power source, and a design shown on the set knob can be corrected to the upright standing position, and superior quality is obtained.
