METHOD, RECEIVER, AND COMMUNICATING SYSTEM FOR RECEIVING DATA USING BLOCK SPACE TIME TRANSMIT DIVERSITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a receiver for receiving data transmitted using block space time transmit diversity (BSTTD) in a code division multiple access (CDMA) communication system. SOLUTION: In a receiving method, a first data field is transmitted using a first antenna. A second data field generated with rearrangement of the first data field blocks is transmitted using a second antenna. The first data field and the second data field are received. A signal model for ignoring interference between the data blocks are generated. A least mean square error block linear equalizer, an approximated Cholesky decomposition, forward substitution and backward substitution are used to determine the transmitted data symbols for the first data field and the second data field.
