PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce mounting space and cost by dispensing with a mechanism for issuing a transfer card and regular keeping of transfer cards that are exclusive media within an automated teller machine 200. SOLUTION: This automated teller machine comprises a conversion means for converting transfer data inputted by a customer to a bar code, a printing means for printing the bar code on a predetermined sheet-like medium; and a bar code reading means for reading the bar code printed on the medium, so that transfer processing can be performed by use of a medium having a bar code converted from transfer data and printed thereon.
