PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-accumulating fluorescent screen material which has excellent light-accumulating and afterglow properties, has almost no stain attachment with time to its surface even when used out of doors for prolonged periods, is maintenance-free (unnecessary to wash) to always maintain excellent light-accumulating and afterglow properties, and is thus used as a screen structure to be a landmark of evacuation site or path when a disaster such as earthquake occurs at night and the power supply is stopped to become completely dark, and also to provide a method for production of the above material. SOLUTION: The screen material comprises a base fabric formed from a fabric material, a white resin layer formed on at least one of the above material surfaces, a light-accumulating fluorescent resin layer formed on the white resin layer, and a photocatalyst layer formed on the above layer. Characteristically, the white resin layer has a whiteness defined by JIS Z 8722 of≥80, and the light-accumulating fluorescent resin layer has the total light transmittance regulated by JIS K 7105 of≥50%.
