摘要 A positioning device, a method of calculating search range, and a recording medium are provided to capture each SPS(Satellite Positioning System) satellite rapidly and efficiently, according to the error of Doppler shift. A positioning device performs positioning by using a satellite signal from a plurality of SPS(Satellite Positioning System) satellites. A satellite position calculation part calculates satellite position of each SPS satellite. A relative position calculation part calculates relative position between initial position and the calculated satellite position of each SPS satellite. A Doppler shift error calculation part calculates Doppler shift error of the satellite signal from each SPS satellite, on the ground of the calculated relative position. A frequency range calculation part calculates frequency range to receive the satellite signal from each SPS satellite, on the ground of the calculated Doppler shift error. A signal capturing part captures the satellite signal from each SPS satellite. A positioning part measures the present position on the ground of the captured satellite signal.
