<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin moisture measuring instrument which utilizes a change rate in skin impedance measured within a certain time to determine whether a skin area in interest is dried or moistened, so that it is possible that the instrument needs neither information about the skin area input specially by the user nor a specific reference table to measure the skin moisture anytime and anywhere more simply. <P>SOLUTION: The method for the instrument comprises the step of measuring a time-dependent change rate in skin impedance of the certain skin area of the user, and the step of determining that the skin area is moistened when the change rate has a value of a predetermined value or more, and that the area is dried when it has that of less than the predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
