<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process image data in the most suitable manner by executing processing using image area separation information before storing, generating required regions again after storing, and storing these stored image data together with the previously stored data. <P>SOLUTION: A read image corrector 11 extracts a region occupied by images having the same feature from image data, identifies the kind of the feature of the images in the extracted region, corrects data characteristics of the image data in the region into specified data characteristics based on the identified kind in the region, and saves region information related to the corrected image data on an HDD 16 for showing the extracted region. A stored-image processor 12 corrects the data characteristics of the saved image data on the HDD 16 into data characteristics conformed to a designated output, and further corrects the data characteristics of the image data in the region shown with the region information into data characteristics conformed with an image writer 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
