A terminal device is provided to reduce a customer's inconvenience of waiting for paying for a long time on a particular day or at particular time as reducing crowdedness at cashier's desks, and to realize an unmanned payment system without cashiers, thereby accomplishing tremendous economical benefits. When a customer demands payment, a controller(305) demands a payment process to a financial institute or a card company based on a payment unit sent by the customer and the customer's personal information prestored in a customer DB(320) through a searcher(310), and receives information on payment grants through a transmitter/receiver(300). If the payment is granted, a transactional grant number is notified to the customer through a wire/wireless integrated repeater. If the payment is rejected, a message on the reason of the rejection is generated by a message generator(315), so that the message is transmitted to the repeater. The repeater notifies the customer of the reason, in order that the customer selects another payment unit.
