LITHIUM ION POLYMER BATTERY USING PHOTOSENSITIVE POLYMER AS SEPARATOR

A lithium ion polymer battery is provided to prevent an internal short circuit by inhibiting pinholes and/or breakage causable while a separator is interposed between a positive electrode and a negative electrode or a separator is assembled. A lithium ion polymer battery is manufactured by the steps of: applying photosensitive polymer(30) onto an electrode active material layer(12); performing selective photopolymerization by light irradiation patterned in a porous form; etching unpolymerized portions to form a separator layer having pores(35); coating the separator layer with an adhesive layer; and attaching a corresponding electrode active material layer to the adhesive layer.
