A modular coupling system allows a gas canister with an integral regulator to be used with different devices. The first coupling part 12 is permanently secured to the pressurised gas container, and has a combined main delivery valve 19 and venting valve 57,58. The second coupling part is connected to the gas consumer 13 and is releasably connected to the first part by a bayonet type connection. The coupling is locked by pin 49 in response to gas pressure in the outlet 56, so the coupling can not be fully released until pressure in the coupling has been vented. |
