<p>Loading system for an electric arc furnace comprising a loading station, a pre-heating station and a pick-up and moving device provided with an arm rotating on a circumference on which the furnace, the loading station and the pre-heating station lie, said loading station being distanced from said pre-heating station, said loading element being suitable to be located in or removed from each of said loading and pre-heating stations, said manipulator arm also being suitable to be moved vertically to move the loading element between said loading station, said pre-heating station and a position above said furnace, in said pre-heating station said container being suitable to cooperate with said air-tight cover and at the lower part with a combustion chamber, said air-tight cover being movable both vertically and rotatably on a horizontal plane, said fume-discharge conduit being at least partly coaxial with the axis of rotation of said air-tight cover.</p> |
