An asphalt concrete and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to produce the asphalt concrete having wear resistance, Marshall stability, and dynamic stability better than general asphalt concrete more economically. An asphalt concrete having increased fluid resistance and wear resistance comprises a crystalline whisker. The crystalline whisker is magnesium whisker. A method for manufacturing the asphalt concrete includes a step of blending 40-50wt.%of steel-making coarse aggregate, 35-45wt.%of steel-making fine aggregate, 4.5-6.5wt.%of asphalt, 4-6wt.%of fillers, and 5-10wt%, based on the weight of the asphalt, of the crystalline whisker, based on the weight of the asphalt concrete.
