The device has a spring (42) placed between fixed and mobile knuckles (24, 26) integrated to floor pan (10) and a cover (18), respectively. The spring stresses the knuckle (24) towards a reference position with respect to the knuckle (26). The spring has a cam surface and a cam follower that are placed on surfaces (44, 46) facing the knuckles. The cam surface and the cam follower cooperate with each other, during rotation of the knuckles with respect to each other. The spring applies a force along a rotation axis (A-A) of the knuckles. The surfaces (44, 46) extend transversal to the axis. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle shutter comprising an articulation device of cover, a shelf panel and a shutter of a motor vehicle.
