PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcasting signal transmission system and video server in which a studio facility is miniaturized and switching control of broadcasting signals is facilitated. SOLUTION: A video server 1 includes a selector 11 including a conventional switcher function and outputs either a video signal of contents input to the selector 11, read from a storage section 13 and decoded or a video signal of a real-time signal input from an external camera 3 while switching them in accordance with a switching command input from an OTC 6 to the selector 11 via a network 8.
