The arm (1) has a cantilever beam attached at a wiper shaft (3) that is driven by a windscreen wiper drive. A wiper arm unit (6) is made of plastic, and is connected with the cantilever beam at one end over a wiper arm joint (5) that is formed at another end. A reinforcement unit (12) extends over a part of the length of the wiper arm unit, so that the reinforcement unit is engaged at the cantilever beam and is fastened to the wiper arm unit. The reinforcement unit is made of metallic flat material.
