PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a computer system and a program for rearranging a logical volume from a first storage place to a second storage place by using copy relation. SOLUTION: An operation for transferring the logical volume from the first storage place to the second storage place is started. One relation is established between the first and second storage places in order to copy data in the logical volume from the first storage device to the second storage place. A reading request to the data in the logical volume is received while copying the data in the logical volume from the first storage place to the second storage place. According to the reading request, whether the requested data exists in first copy of the logical volume in the first storage place or the requested data exists in second copy of the logical volume in the second storage place is judged. The requested data is returned from the first or second copy of the determined logical volume while the logical volume is copied from the first storage place to the second storage place.
