An inspection system using a camera is provided to distribute illumination over the entire surface of an inspection object equally by using coaxial reflecting illumination and bar illumination, and to simplify the system with the bar illumination integrated with a half mirror. An inspection system using a camera comprises a bar illumination(11), a half mirror(12), a camera(13), a frame(15), and a linear movement unit(14). The bar illumination having a predetermined length projects light in a direction perpendicular to the shooting direction of the camera for an inspection object(21). The half mirror reflects the light projected by the bar illumination to the inspection object side by 90 degrees, and transmits the light re-reflected from the inspection object side. The camera taking pictures of the inspection object is provided on the way of the proceeding path of light passing through the half mirror. The frame is assembled to the bar illumination to make the half mirror to be inclined against the projecting surface of the bar illumination. The linear movement unit moves the camera straight to allow the camera to line scan the inspection object.
