<p>Provided is an optical waveguide device which has a high impact resistance and prevents bending and breaking of an optical fiber. An optical waveguide device (1) is provided with a substrate (51) whereupon an optical waveguide (52) is formed; optical fibers (60) connected to the both end portions of the optical waveguide (52); and a case (10) which stores the substrate (51) and holds the optical fiber (60) with a flexible member (57) in between. Since the optical fiber (60) is held to the case (10) with the flexible member (57) in between, heat stress caused by a difference between the linear expansion coefficient of the optical fiber (60) and that of the case (10) is eliminated by the flexible member (57), and bending and breaking of the optical fiber (60) are prevented. Furthermore, the optical fiber (60) is locked to the case (10) by a stopper (63), and even when a tensile force is operated to the optical fiber (60), the tensile force is not propagated to a connecting section between the optical fiber (60) and the optical waveguide (52), and impact resistance is improved.</p> |
