An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to prevent a back light beam from being incident on a driving TFT(Thin Film Transistor) layer formed at the non-display area of the TFT. A TFT display panel(100) comprises an insulating substrate(110) including a display area for displaying an image and a non-display area formed at the edge of the display area. The first TFT is formed at the non-display area and includes semiconductor layers(151a,151b) and resistant contact members(161a,161b) formed on the semiconductor layers. The second TFT is formed at the display area and has gate electrodes(124a,124b) as extending members of the gate lines. A common electrode display panel(200) is arranged oppositely to the TFT display panel. A sealant(300) is formed between the TFT display panel and the common electrode display panel along the non-display area and includes light absorption materials. A liquid crystal layer(400) is located at the inner area with the boundary formed by the sealant. |
