PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine-driven type refrigerated container in which a fuel tank is arranged at a lower stage of a refrigerating unit. SOLUTION: In the refrigerated container 1 for controlling the temperature in a container 3 by the refrigerating unit 1 for circulating a refrigerant by a compressor 11, one of drive sources of the refrigerating unit 4 forms an engine 22. When providing a fuel tank 23 for the engine 22, the fuel tank 23 is arranged on a lower stage of the refrigerating unit 4. In the refrigerated container 1, a lower engine cover 68 on a counter-container 3 side of a gable face of the container 3 covers up to an upper portion of the fuel tank 23.
