PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face detector appropriately detecting a face, even when being influenced by illumination. SOLUTION: An identification device 4a performs learning with a facial image and a non-facial image having no influence of the illumination by an illumination-fluctuation-eliminated image generator 3, and stores identification information for the facial image and the non-facial image having no influence of the illumination, as a result of the learning. When performing face detection processing, the illumination-fluctuation-eliminated image generator 3 generates an image having no influence of illumination from a face detection target image, and the identification device 4a identifies the image.
