METHOD OF WORKING CURVED SURFACE AND APPARATUS FOR IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of working a curved surface and an apparatus for it by which the accuracy of working is raised about a curved-surface working of a metal plate and the productivity is improved. SOLUTION: By inserting the metal plate 10 between a fixed curved surface die 20 which is provided with a curved surface having a circular-arcuate curved surface 21 in the cross section of a part of the outer peripheral curved surface of a column and fixed to a base body and a columnar moving roll 30 the axial center of which is arranged in parallel to the center axis of the fixed curved-surface die 20 so as to be movable and able to roll on the curved surface 21 of the fixed curved-surface die 20 and moving the moving roll 30 so as to be able to roll while pressurizing the roll 30 so that the metal plate 10 is held against just above the curved surface of the fixed curved-surface die 20, the metal plate 10 is bent by making it follow the curved surface 21 of the fixed curved-surface die 20.
