Provided is a thin display apparatus wherein a display section performs high luminance and high contrast display without generating a display failure due to deformation of the display section. The display apparatus is provided with an image display section (2), and a light transmitting protecting section (3) arranged on the image display section (2). A cured resin layer (5) is arranged between the display section (2) and the protecting section (3). The cured resin layer (5) has a transmissivity of 90% or more in a visible light area and a storage elastic modulus of 1OE0⁷Pa or less at 25°C. The cured resin layer (5) is formed of a resin composition having a curing shrinkage factor of 5% or less.
