An apparatus for opening and closing a high pressure vessel is provided to endure the high pressure state in the high pressure vessel by pressing and fixing a cover to which a shaft is mounted to the high pressure vessel. An apparatus for opening and closing a high pressure vessel includes a high pressure vessel(110), a cover(130), a rod-shaped shaft(150), first and second caps(170,180), and a lever(190). One side of the high pressure vessel is opened. The cover is coupled to the high pressure vessel to open and close the high pressure vessel. The shaft is coupled to the cover so as to pass through the cover vertically. The first and second caps are rotatably installed on both sides of the high pressure container to lift and lower the shaft as they rotate. The lever is fixed to the outer center of at least one of the first and second caps to rotate them.
