An RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) reader using a multi-channel polarization antenna is provided to perform data communication with a tag attached to luggage processed in an aviator stably even when interference occurs due to a disposition state and position of the luggage and due to an object around the tag. The first and second polarization antennas(11-14) transmit radio waves toward a tag. Inductive coupling units(21-24) are inductively coupled with the first and second polarization antennas(11-14), fed with power through the first and second polarization antennas(11-14), and detect an output level of the respective antennas(11-14) by using the received power. A reader unit(110) selects either the first polarization antenna(11,12) or the second polarization antennas(13,14), which have a higher output level. The first polarization antennas(11,12) include a vertical polarization antenna(11) or a horizontal polarization antenna(12). The second polarization antennas(13,14) are circular polarization antennas.
