<p>The present invention refers to a device for establishing a communication with the communication networks of a vehicle, which interconnects the different electronic modules of said vehicle. The inventive device comprises an interface connected to a GPS antenna for obtaining the coordinates of the current position, a radiofrequency interface for identifying interest locations, and a RS232 interface for connecting the device to a variety of means such as PCs, laptops, wireless modems or cell or satellite communication devices. The device of the present invention performs data requests, which are gathered and processed for subsequently generating messages containing travel information and failure codes in a vehicle by establishing a link with the vehicle communication network. The message travel information is defined according to the action to be performed, which may be carried out by comparing the current position with a list of programmed locations in accordance with the requeste rece ived by the RS232 interface, or the request received by the radiofrequency identification. The invention includes a track and control system that uses the present device.</p> |
