PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine propriety of a coolant amount in a coolant circuit while minimizing labor of inputting information of coolant connection pipings before operation of a separate type air conditioner. SOLUTION: The air conditioner 1 is provided with a piping volume calculating means, and the coolant circuit 10 composed by connecting a heat source unit 2, and utilization units 4, 5 via the coolant connection pipings 6, 7. In the piping volume calculating means, each volume Vlp, Vgp of the coolant connection pipings 6, 7 is calculated on the basis of an additional filling amount Ma being a cooler amount additionally filled after composing the coolant circuit 10 by connecting the heat source unit 2 and the utilization units 4, 5 via the coolant connection pipings 6, 7.
