<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner quantity measuring head that can highly accurately measure a quantity of toner, whether it is color toner or black toner, is compact and costs less. <P>SOLUTION: The toner quantity measuring head includes: a substrate 101 disposed opposite to an intermediate transfer belt 500; a light source 102 attached to the substrate 101; an optical sensor 103 attached to the substrate 101; a first optical waveguide 104a formed so as to optically connect to the light source 102 and emit light from the light source 102 toward the intermediate transfer belt 500; and a second optical waveguide 104b formed in the substrate 101 so as to optically connect to the optical sensor 103 and admit both mirror face reflection light 103a and diffusion reflection light 103b emitted from the light source 102 to enter the optical sensor 103. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
