PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fiber and a net which have excellent gloss, and are made from an ethylene-based polymer. SOLUTION: The fiber or the net, which are made from an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer is provided, wherein the copolymer has a melt flow rate(MFR) of 0.1-10 g/10min at 190°C under a load of 21.18 N as specified in JIS K7210, a density of 895-940 kg/m<SP>3</SP>, a molecular weight distribution index(Mw/Mn) of 5-25 and a flow activation energy(Ea) of 40 kJ/mol or greater.
